Foundation

The Foundation app provides a set of additional tools and features that extend the standard Italian localization of Business Central. Some of the features provided by the app are listed below.

VAT management

  • VAT codes and G/L accounts allowed per register: for each VAT register it is possible to define which VAT codes and which G/L accounts can be used when posting.
  • Automatic split payment: for public administration customers, split payment lines are generated automatically when sales documents are released.
  • Intra Community numbering check: when posting documents, the system verifies the alignment between the sales protocol and the purchase protocol numbering.
  • Dummy VAT registers: registers whose entries do not flow into the VAT settlement calculation, for the cases that must stay out of the periodic calculation.
  • Annual reprint of grouped registers: the standard report is extended to allow the annual reprint, in particular for the annual VAT declaration.

Fiscal reports and declarations

  • Automatic page numbering: the page number of the fiscal reports for VAT registers and the general journal is updated automatically, without manual steps.
  • Bulk printing to PDF: selecting multiple registers, printing runs in bulk and generates a ZIP file, with file names configurable through placeholders (register code, year, month, day).
  • Trial balance with opposing sections: presentation of accounting data in the format required by Italian practice, with sections assigned based on the chart of accounts configuration.
  • Certifications export: export of the file for certification payments in the ministerial format.
  • Withholding tax management: reason code and non taxable income type managed through the whole process, from the vendor setup up to the export of the ministerial file.

Productivity

  • Proforma management: advanced management of proforma invoices, linked to the actual purchase invoice to allow the reconciliation of entries.
  • Automatic stamp duty: automatic generation of stamp duty charge lines when sales documents are released.
